When British journalists introduce people to their trans friends are they like: "this is Neilly, who was assigned male at birth but despite this now identitifies as a female"? Just kidding, they don't have trans friends.
This is what happened 5-10 years ago in the UK. Journalistic seriousness was stripped from trans journalists and columnists despite trans topics dominating headlines.

I've heard that the GC event in Belfast encouraged people to join trans supportive groups in order to change 'hearts and minds' from within. Organisations need to take note that this is most certainly a problem and it needs nipped in the bud.
As this piece goes around again I think it’s important to mention that this does not apply to the whole of the UK, as Northern Ireland is not party to the 2010 Equality Act. I am seeing NI people panic again and it’s good to be reminded.
