RIP Eliane Radigue. She's been a huge influence on my work. Her music also opened me up to a lot of other electronic experimental music from the 60s and 70s. Aside from obvious Silent Hill/John Carpenter influences, that era of music has been a huge part of my identify as Cicada Sirens.

If you're not trans, I don't think I can fully explain how important this is. It's so powerful that one of the most circulated science media publications in the world has come out and said "trans children are real and providing transition care improves their lives." That's groundbreaking.

I met him at a con years ago and told him I thought he was cool in Nemesis (1992). He said "you're very kind" and laughed bit. My buddies and I chatted with him for a few minutes. He was incredibly nice the entire time.

Giving Caves of Qud a chance immediately changed the kind of games I like. It got me into NetHack and a ton of the old ASCII roguelikes from the 80s and 90s. They're almost the only thing I play now.
