One extraordinary thing about this extraordinary election is that the party won historic gains *in spite of* national leadership. Does anyone think Jeffries (or Schumer, for that matter) *led* the party to this victory? Jeffries was meeting with Jared Kushner three months ago!

It’s hard to explain how ungrounding this is, but think about how old-timers say “you can’t fix cars anymore, everything under the hood is just electronic”, and then you have to go to the mechanic, right? But at least the car *parts* are the same. You can ask others, “Is this model reliable?”
Not only no culture, but no *commons*. The dependency on the capitalist overlords will be complete, because you can’t ask for help or context from others when there is no common frame of reference. This has already happened in coding, the first space where they destroyed the commons we’d all built.

This is such a bullshit non sequitur. “You wanting to communicate and chat with your friends” stopped being most of what social media is at least a decade ago. It’s not what *she’s* doing on social media. She’s getting affirmation from randos with parasocial attachments to her.
