Gill: All 100 senators last week passed a non-binding resolution condemning any pardon for Ghislaine Maxwell. They're simultaneously considering confirming the guy who met with her and moved her to a low-security facility as the top cop in the United States. That is so insane to me.

Negging dudes about their masculinity has existed forever (see: Charles Atlas ads in comic books) although this new level of institutional negging is a lot. I'm glad when I was younger I was mostly resistant to it, a side effect of an enormous ego, ambition, and a "fuck you, watch me" attitude.

Online influencers who push this narrative have products to sell. They want you to buy their workout apps, their advice sessions, their investment plans. That’s just how a lot of advertising works: It makes you insecure so you’ll pay for a product in hopes of temporarily silencing your gnawing sense of inadequacy.

AI companies are reportedly buying rare and out-of-print books, cutting off their bindings, and scanning them for training data. The physical copies are then destroyed, raising fears that uncommon and historically valuable works could be permanently lost.
