The entire right-wing propaganda machine came after Zohran Mamdani. The president and his allies came after him. Democratic leaders, by and large, did not have his back until the last minute. He still won, turning out historic numbers and inspiring young voters. His politics can win anywhere.

As you see Elon Musk, Donald Trump, and Stephen Miller all endorse Andrew Cuomo, just remember that Chuck Schumer — leader of the Democratic party — never ended up endorsing Cuomo's opponent (the Democratic nominee)

Cannot be emphasized enough that anti-housing NIMBYs in places like California and New York are objectively working to support a durable MAGA hold on Congress and the presidency.
Mark D. Levine@marklevinenyc.bsky.social · 12mo agoIt’s much harder to build housing in Blue states than it is in Red states. So yes people are moving away from Blue states. One more reason that addressing the housing shortage in NY and elsewhere must be an urgent priority.
