A thing worth saying about El-Sayed winning is that every very publicized win like this for a Progressive convinces 100s of other good people to run for all kinds of stuff.

KOSA did pass out, which is not entirely surprising given that it had a near unanimous vote in the Senate last year... but it doesn't seem like they're any closer to reconciling with the House. Notable that there was quorum for KOSA but not for SCREEN. I guess everyone was just running late today!

obama furiously gesticulating to the party "you can just LIE about being against the wealthy! you just gotta attack the rich and corporations and private equity at all, even if it's a lie!" and establishment dems squeezing their skull like it's gonna pop scanners style going "BUT I DON'T WANNA"

think a lot about how even in '12 after going "nah i don't think i will" about a bunch of things people wanted from him, obama still had enough sense to go "fucking private equity, am i right? these rich motherfuckers, am i right? and romney's one of them" instead of "you owe me your vote, peasants"

if establishment candidates want to start winning primaries again all you have to do is say that rich people have too much money and that youll prosecute trump admin staffers and republicans that have broken the law

Democrats (especielly in the past few years) have really molded into their DNA that if they simply "get rid of the bad guy, everything will be okay and be good again", whether it's in reference to Trump or Netenyahu. They cannot comprehend that an entire system might just be broken beyond repair.

I mean this sincerely: I think pro Israel people really need to begin internalizing that this is not a fringe opinion anymore and in fact is very statistically likely to be the average view of any brown Democratic candidate for office or any candidate under the age of 50

Just now on @Morning_Joe:
@AbdulElSayed was asked by @WillieGeist whether his critique of Israel is about @netanyahu or Israel itself. He made it clear his problem is with Israel. Lots of references to
"apartheid" and "genocide" that
"pre-date" BiBi.

@kenjennings.bsky.social do you not see how making a shitty joke has led directly to the harassment of trans women? this is your “allyship” at work. this is your refusal to apologize and take accountability for your actions or understand the effects they have on a community you pretend to support.

once again i get to say, “funny how i haven’t been blocked when dozens of trans women have” trying to use my powers for good

1. the whole "disappointing night" thing is pure cope. El-Sayed beat the establishment candidate despite being outspent 10:1, that's an earthquake 2. primary polls are just not great and everyone needs to spend the next week going really, really hard for Peggy Flanagan

the ragnarok lobster guy deleted all his posts about how haley stevens was gonna win. that’s how cold politics is. ragnarok lobster is abandoning you before the polls even close
