Wednesday of Guest Week can only mean one thing: A hilarious comic from the one and only @pseudonymjones.bsky.social swanboy.com/comic/swan-b...
A thing worth saying about El-Sayed winning is that every very publicized win like this for a Progressive convinces 100s of other good people to run for all kinds of stuff.
KOSA did pass out, which is not entirely surprising given that it had a near unanimous vote in the Senate last year... but it doesn't seem like they're any closer to reconciling with the House. Notable that there was quorum for KOSA but not for SCREEN. I guess everyone was just running late today!
obama furiously gesticulating to the party "you can just LIE about being against the wealthy! you just gotta attack the rich and corporations and private equity at all, even if it's a lie!" and establishment dems squeezing their skull like it's gonna pop scanners style going "BUT I DON'T WANNA"
think a lot about how even in '12 after going "nah i don't think i will" about a bunch of things people wanted from him, obama still had enough sense to go "fucking private equity, am i right? these rich motherfuckers, am i right? and romney's one of them" instead of "you owe me your vote, peasants"
if establishment candidates want to start winning primaries again all you have to do is say that rich people have too much money and that youll prosecute trump admin staffers and republicans that have broken the law
Biden terminated COVID relief, grocery prices & mortgage/auto loan interest rates rose, rent/utilities increased relative to wages, Boomers retired (in a big wave), Trump was elected (stockholders dislike political instability), then overall inflation exceeded wage growth again (THREAD)
Costs of housing have risen faster than wages and income (images 2 & 3) bsky.app/profile/devi...
this is the kind of journalism i can get behind
folks the California Post has done it again
You know, progressive values, like basing the right to vote - or live - on your race and ethnicity
Fetterman says America has a responsibility to Israel because Israel has "progressive values"
You mean we'd all have to go back to living the way people did *checks notes* FOUR YEARS AGO?!?
Guys like this don’t realize that they are the freak
Van Jones was on CNN yesterday expressing utter disbelief that El-Sayed wants halt all arms shipments to Israel, including "defensive" weapons. The guy genuinely does not realize that *he* is the fringe on this issue.
Democrats (especielly in the past few years) have really molded into their DNA that if they simply "get rid of the bad guy, everything will be okay and be good again", whether it's in reference to Trump or Netenyahu. They cannot comprehend that an entire system might just be broken beyond repair.
they ran all their best plays and none of them worked
centrist dems are absolutely flummoxed and have no idea what to do with the fact that genocide has become unpopular with the mainstream
I mean this sincerely: I think pro Israel people really need to begin internalizing that this is not a fringe opinion anymore and in fact is very statistically likely to be the average view of any brown Democratic candidate for office or any candidate under the age of 50
While the SCREEN Act failed in the committee, KOSA did move forward. Contact your senators immediately demanding it be opposed, and keep the pressure up until it comes to a vote in the Senate
The Senate Commerce Committee just passed KOSA out of committee with zero debate & failed to move the SCREEN Act. punchbowl.news/article/tech...
@kenjennings.bsky.social do you not see how making a shitty joke has led directly to the harassment of trans women? this is your “allyship” at work. this is your refusal to apologize and take accountability for your actions or understand the effects they have on a community you pretend to support.
once again i get to say, “funny how i haven’t been blocked when dozens of trans women have” trying to use my powers for good

another day, another anticipated game turns out to be made by nazis. this time Iron Nest, turns out it's a pro-franco fash game. like "simulating bombing guernica" shit.
(regular voter voice) Well ah I don't really know about Israel and all that but it sounds like this group wants to help Trump keep the Senate and enable his ongoing crime spree and I'm against that
AIPAC: "Our members remain determined to ensure that voters reject Dr. El-Sayed and his radical anti-Israel agenda in November."

This is low key one of the most important popular studies that supports the societal importance of art history. So much so that I am doing everyone here a solid by not allowing the article preview to show, the images of which will haunt you for life. english.elpais.com/health/2026-...
1. the whole "disappointing night" thing is pure cope. El-Sayed beat the establishment candidate despite being outspent 10:1, that's an earthquake 2. primary polls are just not great and everyone needs to spend the next week going really, really hard for Peggy Flanagan
Thank you, Michigan. I love you from the bottom of my heart!
I tried to warn people about Ben Shapiro and Matt Walsh in 2014. This is cause no one listened.
it’s cool that if you turn on ESPN nowadays you’re fairly likely to see the 24th best QB in the NFL discussing the lab leak conspiracy with a man in a tank top
the ragnarok lobster guy deleted all his posts about how haley stevens was gonna win. that’s how cold politics is. ragnarok lobster is abandoning you before the polls even close
Are we going to go this route tonight, or an even higher minded "why even have a primary?"
