Again: what do you, as that kid’s commander, tell him? When he asks why he should continue serving a country that did this to his family, what’s your answer? Now ask yourself: what’s the GRU or SVR collector’s answer? What’s the Chinese MSS collector’s answer? Or the cartel operative’s?

Got my new HT radios set up, I have to brave the heat tomorrow and install the radio in the car...I have put it off for so long because of car repairs but I can't use that excuse any longer...new seats and new floor mats, a detailing by a pro while they are out of the car. Easy access to wiring

Some of the most well-known NoBlogs sites belong to researchers who solely report on far-right hate and radicalization, never doing anything aside from showing you what exists. Using speech to to shine a light and hold people accountable IS effective. Never let them try to convince you otherwise.

The US government has designated the Italian collective Autistici/Inventati, which produces the infrastructure of NoBlogs.org, a "Specially Designated Global Terrorist," freezing their assets and prohibiting all transactions with them——citing their "far-left" politics for justification.

You know what would be pretty cool. If “progressives” would make where I live a place that didn’t require cars for the bare basic necessities of living before they started lobbying to restrict them. My town doesn’t even have fucking sidewalks even though our state has a fund for helping build them!

It was like a month or two after I joined bsky that a mutual stopped posting so frequently and I sent a dm to check up and they were just like yea I’m fine it’s just harmful to my mentals to be here all the time and I was like no way all your people are here!

Spoke with Maria Abi-Habib of @nytimes.com. "It would be one thing if the U.S. didn’t have an overt maritime strike campaign, but they do, and they’re posting snuff films of boats going up in flames regularly. And that’s what makes this even more squirrelly." www.nytimes.com/2026/08/12/w...

I'm going to keep saying this until it's rote practice: If you are in official connection with let alone in charge of an archive of data, if is your professional & moral responsibility to secure that archive, as a backup or otherwise, against just such an emergency, so we're not Hoping some kid did.

Incredible. When E—n M—k & his crew obliterated USAID in a weekend, they deleted a vast trove of publicly-funded knowledge: the Development Experience Clearinghouse. A Canadian high school student (!) happened to have downloaded the entire thing for a project. AidData has now posted it for all.

Get to go to the eye doc momentarily because I got some road grime or rust flakes or something in there while working on my car last night. I skipped safety glasses because I already wear glasses…but safety glasses have much better coverage. Learning my lesson.

the difference between a kid shooting up a school to satisfy a puerile urge and be famous and a flight of aircraft reducing a school to rubble as a part of a campaign that satisfies a puerile urge is just scale and organization

They are going to encase us all in a fictional world, and then sell access to the real back to us. This is way more sophisticated than a Metaverse lock-in. Everyone will have their own world, we will argue, we might kill some people over it, we won’t ever recover from the sense of confusion.

genuinely shocking decision by Google. Who the fuck thought this was a good idea? What is the reason you'd even want this? What's the beneficial use case?
