Awkward cranky unpaid carer Occasional blogger, old leftie, still curious She/her 😷 https://oftencalledcathy.wordpress.com/

It would be *so* helpful if you could RT the post above about my workshop sale. I’m still trying to get back on my feet after being really unwell. Any RTs help put my classes in front of more eyes. Thankyou so much 🌿

In addition it's notable the cost of disability payment didn't extend to children with disabilities, if it is to be tied to a social welfare payment it will only be for adults with disabilities (and even then it is suboptimal). #SpéirGorm

A country that doesn't care for it's children will fail. And we're doing it over & over & over. The ridiculous response in #Budget2027 to children, parents/guardians, workers & childcare workers & providers. What about a public model of childcare? 🤦🏽‍♀️ #spéirghorm #IrishPol #Childcare

“If my son starts to live within the care system, will he still get to indulge his passions: the Strokes, guitars, hillwalking? As Kane put it: “The social care system deals in safety. Have people got a roof over their heads? Have they got food? That’s about it” #Disability #IEPOL #UKPOL

Social care for disabled adults is in as much crisis as support for elderly people – so why is the government silent about it? | John Harris

Working-age adults such as my son, who is autistic, face an unreliable system, yet ministers talk only of a national care service for older people, says Guardian columnist John Harris

Anyone know of a good (inexpensive and uncomplicated) way of taking snaps or short videos while riding a motorcycle? I don’t want to film for hours, but would be cool to have little snippets of wonderful moments.
