Finally got around to picking up a VCR at a thrift store (no remote but that's to be expected). I only have a couple tapes, purchased as kitsch/decor (I haven't checked but I'm sure my family's 90s collection is long gone) so doubt I'll be playing much but at least I CAN now.

Lady Emily ☄️@ladyemily.nebula.tv · 2d agoWhen I was a kid, I had this book that advertised itself as a Hulk guidebook but spent most of its 50 page count explaining facts about muscles and the human body using Hulk as a reference point and honestly looking back at it now, this rules, this is such a great way to teach little dorks like me
as anyone remotely familiar with my body of work probably knows, i make a lot of 3d renders in the style of amateur 90s cgi with a version of 3ds max from 1998. here's a handful from the past few years, haven't done too many standalone renders as most of my retro cgi work is doom textures/sprites
I should watch more Dirty Pair... I don't know if there's a term for it but there's this cool-tone palette look, specifically deep-blue city nights, in 80s-90s anime (sometimes cyberpunk, sometimes urban crime/caper) that I REALLY love and the DP OP reminds me of it
