The International Luge Federation has added something called "Super Slide Mode" to its race procedures and is implementing it for the Oberhof race weekend at the end of January. Cool name, right? Anyway, here's a thread of what that entails and how it differs from a regular World Cup weekend.

The new, sexier FIL logo. It says FIL on the top and then there's a little sled looking thing below it. The runner on the sled is green, because of green initiatives the federation is putting forth.

The other day I was looking at Twitter (still gotta, unfortunately) and I got ads for AI apps that were like "you can take pictures of girls and make them kiss in bikinis!" just regular ads on the regular feed

NEW: Over the last few months, Meta has run dozens of paid ads that included AI-generated CSAM. The ads, some of which were linking out to “nudify” apps, targeted men in the US, UK, and a dozen European countries. Some were running in the last few days

I did have a little chuckle that "super slide mode" actually has less sliding than regular slide mode, but I'm still very into the whole premise.

I mean no shells, but occasionally in sliding there's a broom. (Worth noting this isn't the only time a broom has been hit, same thing happened to USVI's Katie Tannenbaum a few years later)
