this is such a fun little horror moment in metroid 2. absolutely perfect use of the gameboy's memory limits: you want to get some space between you and the surprise metroid, but the hole you shot to get here has already filled with sand again. you're trapped.

Metroidvania is a dumb, but charming term that carries history. It has perhaps outlived its natural life span, but oh my god Search Action is a disgusting fucking term, like calling sausages 'stuffed pig guts'

I really thought playing Yakuza 6 on PS5 instead of PC would be the thing that allowed me to really make progress and finish the damn thing. Instead, I played for about 10 minutes last night and fell asleep on the sofa. Alas!
