I was put on this earth to game. #1 Young Bucks enjoyer

this is such a fun little horror moment in metroid 2. absolutely perfect use of the gameboy's memory limits: you want to get some space between you and the surprise metroid, but the hole you shot to get here has already filled with sand again. you're trapped.

Mouse Waitress at the local hole in the wall: Cheesed to meet you! You didn't hear this from me, but if I may squeak personally, this place is the cat's meow! Special Agent Dale Cooper: Diane, this establishment is ran by mice. Typically you run from them, but here they are cheesed to please.

lol for metroid going ok ok samus is gonna talk again but this time instead of going on about adam she's going to say she wants to eat you. are you happy now. is that what you freaks want

On the topic of genre names: I still hate “character action”. What does that mean, brother, all games have characters that do actions lmao. I dunno, it’s just weird because I definitely referred to Bayonetta as a hack ‘n slash when I was younger, only to find out later that it’s apparently not that

Metroidvania is a dumb, but charming term that carries history. It has perhaps outlived its natural life span, but oh my god Search Action is a disgusting fucking term, like calling sausages 'stuffed pig guts'

The reason FPS caught on is because its a better name. The reason "search action" hasn't is because it isnt better. This convo is annoying because its just whinging for no reason. Come up with a better term if you want metroidvania replaced

There used to be account on Twitter that did nothing but post pictures of games that scored higher on IGN than their review of God Hand from however many years ago. Like the entire “joke” was that Fortnite or whatever got a better score than God Hand. Who gives a shit

one of the more embarrassing strangely common video game fandom behaviours is holding onto resentment over specific IGN reviews decades later. you are 29 years old bro you gotta led the sonic unleashed review go

I really thought playing Yakuza 6 on PS5 instead of PC would be the thing that allowed me to really make progress and finish the damn thing. Instead, I played for about 10 minutes last night and fell asleep on the sofa. Alas!
