Enjoyed seeing this woman's work. Sustainability isn't just about producer decisions, but also consumer decisions, namely their willingness to repair things when needed. This type of repair is easier on natural fibers, rather than stretch fabrics. Consider that when shoppping. IG loosethreadsrepair

Went up to the summit of Pikes Peak today (14,115ft). They sell donuts at the summit house so we made ours into the CO for Colorado and took a photo looking out to the far away snow capped mountains. A foot or more of snow in places, road clear. Cold but warm enough to not need jacket.

A few months ago I got to design the staff t-shirt for The Hobbit x MTG! I relished painting some of the pivotal characters and elements of the story. The stylization is inspired by Tolkien's own paintings, and I wanted it to look as though Bilbo had drawn these things in his book.

As someone with both a STEM and a non-STEM degree I think part of the problem is the elitism with which STEM is taught at universities. Physics 101 is designed to be brutally hard and force people to drop out in ways that, for example, Intro to Literary Criticism is not.

I'm gonna push back on this. A modicum of engineering knowledge is something we need to add to the core curriculum at universities. A huge amount of the stuff around us is run on engineering principles and most ppl know next to nothing about them.
