now that IGF voting is winding down I can say that there are not one but TWO really impressive, really good deduction games coming out in the near future. generally a very big moment for the genre but some of the work being done is extremely impressive

Annihilation always makes Halloween lists, so I thought I'd do a thread of creepy reads. Starting today with a flat-out modern masterpiece, Max Lury's No Ghosts. Thoroughly contemporary and disturbing grounded in deep characterization, and, in part, outdoing Back Rooms while also its own thing. 1

Just woke up from a dream where I ordered a rum and coke at a bar and they asked what kind of ice I wanted, then showed me a menu with 60 different kinds of ice. Most were different shapes but some had flavours. I chose mint and my drink became mintier over time. Anyway good morning
