Mathematician & NASA human computer Katherine Johnson was born #OTD in 1918. She was instrumental in the success of the first US manned spaceflights, calculating complex trajectories enabling humans to reach orbit & land on the moon. Her story was told in Hidden Figures (book/movie). #WomenInSTEM

One of the great parts about growing up as a Gen Xer was Dolly Parton was EVERYWHERE when we were kids. She was on the radio, showing up on television, in great movies. And no one was ever like "You know who I'm fucking sick of? That Dolly Parton." A glorious time to be alive.
