History buff. Love boardgames (primarily historical, political and military based), but also enjoy some euros and anything strategic and thematic.

My wife loves the game Root. This weekend was the first weekend we haven’t been busy in a while so we played multiple games. I’m calling the weekend “Rootapalooza” 😁. She regularly plays the Underground Duchy and she is a formidable force to deal with (I lost each game 😑 😁). @colewehrle.bsky.social

Reminder about El Pulpo, now with some prototype photos! Check alt text for details. Very excited about this one. We’ll be showing it at several cons over the next few months!

Today, we're proud and excited to announce that we've signed El Pulpo (some may know it as Fruit), designed by @danbullock.bsky.social! It will be our second game, after Painkillers. Read more about why we think it's such a great fit for H&D: www.hawkanddovegames.com/blog/el-pulpo

Enjoyed a solo game of Land and Freedom tonight by @alexknight.bsky.social. Fun game even though it was a collective loss with the “Easter Accord” card maxing out Madrid on the 2nd round of Year 3. That aside, the Bot for the Moderates was destroying mine and the other faction. Great game.

I just want to say @roxley.bsky.social does an absolutely stellar job of keeping everyone up to date on the status of the Brass Pittsburgh project. Their methodology is best in class in my opinion. They provide regular written updates as well as this cool graphic to make it clear.

Playing a two-handed game of Take Cover from Worthington Publishing. It’s a two player game but playing two-handed to learn. It’s a fun light game. I’m sure it’s better at two players since each hand of cards should be hidden info.
