Teach Us Consent received more than 7,000 first hand accounts from victims of sexually violent boys and young men - most of them attending very expensive schools. If youthful rapists are not a youth crime crisis, then property damage or car theft are not either. www.teachusconsent.com/testimonies

"Antisemitism is real, poisonous and deserving of the full force of government. The scandal is not that Jewish Australians received protection. The scandal is that Canberra cannot extend the same seriousness to First Nations Australians." Andrew Brown michaelwest.com.au/first-nation...

Australia's hierarchy of grief: $131M for one inquiry, empty chairs for First Nations - Michael West

First Nations witnesses brought Parliament evidence of a terrorist bomb and death threats. Government sent empty chairs

Swans not standing down the players involved in the alleged sexual assault and calling it a ‘situation they found themselves in’ Media creeps framing the allegation as just something that hurts the team’s season The AFLM has such a clear cultural issues that needs addressing

We already have a draconian, uncompassionate system for dealing with refugees. We don't need to be crueler. Also, there are much easier ways for 'terrorists' to come to Australia. So, this is about a) playing to a racist base and/or b) a looming climate crisis where fleeing is the only option.

More than 160 organisations and groups have come together to call on the Albanese Government not to proceed with changes that would take away work rights, weaken appeal rights or make it harder for families to stay together. You can read and share the media release here: asrc.org.au/2026/08/17/s...

I'm the first person to post about this on social media. There has been no media coverage yet. DEWR themselves have not posted about it on their social media, despite making other posts today. This is a highly consequential decision of government that will affect many recipients. Not good enough.

#BREAKING 🚨 The new DEWR Secretary announced they'll seek to resume suspending or cancelling welfare payments on October 26 in respect of: • Refusal or failure to accept an offer of suitable work • Failure to 'reconnect' with a provider within 4 weeks www.dewr.gov.au/assuring-int...

Said so beautifully. The violence and murder of Jewish Australians as well as the murder of so many Jewish people on Oct 7 was horrific. But the continuing genocide of over 73,000 Palestinians makes the two events above pale in comparison. All of them are wrong.

The person at work who usually offers some sane discussion of politics has retired. Super smart, always thoughtful, always current, always assumed I was as smart as he was and as informed - nice, not patronising. I now have NO RL people to talk to. 😢

#australia - we are in serious trouble - worst heat in the last 150 years expected - if this happens expect catastrophic bush fires - be prepared - esp. if you live in country areas. #auspol This El Niño is set to be the largest on record by a ‘mind-blowing margin’ www.nature.com/articles/d41...

This El Niño is set to be the largest on record by a ‘mind-blowing margin’

Forecasters predict that the monster climate pattern will combine with global warming to push global temperatures in 2027 to new heights.

Reality doesn’t care about political talking points. This isn’t because Spain and France forgot to rake the forest. This is climate change, plain and simple, and it’s only going to get worse. 🚨 Nearly 200,000 people are running for their lives from out-of-control wildfires.

My children convinced me I should watch the new version of Little House on the Prairie. 1. I think they think that 'wholesome' TV is my thing (as well as super heroes, even they can't miss that) 2. Is it wholesome? I'm still thinking about it. It's trying to be?
