Hey, scam that almost got me this morning — A series of texts basically identical to ones Amazon has previously sent when something was recalled. It was early for my second-shift ass, so I clicked as far as the link (no information was entered). Phone number was spoofed, but the URL was weird.

Received this email today. As of Sept. 4, you have to use AI instead of Google Assistant. All I ever really used it for was to set alarms by voice, so not a big loss for me. Still, another example of how they're trying to force AI into everything we do so they can justify their huge expenses.

Pictures from the 1970s where there’s kind of brownish hazy tint aren’t because of film degradation or something photographic artifacts, that’s what things looked like before the Clean Air Act. The air used to be filthy, which is why we needed to clean it. And then we did!

No Smoking Laws I don’t know how to express to people who didn’t live thru it: there used to be cigarette smoke EVERYWHERE… in restaurants, planes, hotels, SCHOOLS, doctors’ offices. Everywhere. I have asthma and had bronchitis multiple times a year. I’m so grateful for those laws.

Cars are so much better. They're so much more durable, they get vastly better gas mileage, and most of all, they are SO MUCH SAFER.
