Gaming is art. Crossplay Crew exists to celebrate games through our content, help indie developers realize their dreams, and build a community rooted in real human connection.

We've got a new look, new name, still nerdy, still a little bit slothy, but Nerd Sloth is now Crossplay Crew. This change has been coming for a very long time - hence why its been so quiet around here. Lots of new indie gaming content coming soon!

I wrote about Paradise Killer! The Syndicate’s tendency for excessive punishment is not just gross and soul-sucking. It reveals its weak control over a project that lost its purpose ages ago. Reminded me of some folks. Give it a read, shares appreciated, and subscribe to Stop Caring already!?

HOT OFF THE PRESSES! NEW STOP CARING ESSAY! @exalclaw.com blesses the site again with a poignant essay on Paradise Killer, crime, absurd punishment, and bookends his analysis with some reflections on the current administration here in the US.

I've been really enjoying Esoteric Ebb, a narrative game that crosses Disco Elysium with Dungeons & Dragons by way of Douglas Adams. It's goofy and very entertaining. My favorite gag: the main character gets *really* excited any time it seems like an NPC might have a quest for him. Comes out today!

With news of more games media layoffs, this seems like a good time to share my Indie Games Media starter kit — it’s more important than ever that readers directly support their favourite publications and writers.

To paraphrase a friend: stay on the path, make good things. Indie has always flourished in the face of AAA distraction. Times are bad, but let others deskill, pivot to nonsense or chase impossible outcomes. People really like playing videogames. Suits forget that every 6 months or so.
