A couple months into a diet change and I’ve just slipped under the Mendoza line for the first time in years. And what’s more, I once again have the desire to take a bike ride or a long walk “just because”. My knees have been aching a lot less which perhaps is evidence of a positive feedback loop.
Back from a work trip, got a ride in out to Auke Lake and back.

The addition of some flax meal and teff flour in addition to the usual rye and whole wheat reduced the rise of this bread machine loaf a bit but added a lot of texture and taste.
Imagine having enough money to build a fleet of tall ships which could take kids across the wine dark sea, clinging to the yards, salt spray on their cheeks, light in their eyes, self belief coursing through them… but instead hunching over the phone advocating for crimes against humanity

Oh, hey, Alaska. Didn’t pick the best week of the year to spend in Kachemak Bay, but them’s the weather breaks sometimes, and there was still (mostly wet and windy) beauty to be found. My elderly canine pal finds his life’s truest calling as a yurt dog every year. #AlaskaSky 💨🤩🌧️❤️
