I finally decided to get a new RTL-SDR dongle because my old one was literally falling apart. Dongles using the R820T2 tuner seem to be getting pricey so I sprung for the FC0013. It has a narrower frequency range than the R820T and less maximum gain, but so far seems perfect for most of my uses.
