I bought a slow cooker somewhere between 2019-2021 after seeing some amazing dhal recipes online. My partner is using it for the first time today, 5 to 7 years later. 😂

I hated the RNZ redesign so much that I vibe-coded my own Firefox plugin, lol. It doesn't look the greatest, but at least I can see 14 articles on the homepage without scrolling. 😂

Eww. The item title font on the RNZ website is more difficult to read and they've also put fewer news items on the front page. Looks like a cheaper copy of the BBC World site. :(

Luxon on breakfast just now standing outside the cordon at Mt Maunganui finishing his facile interview with the inane electioneering slogan "Fixing the basics..." - the man is completely devoid of empathy or tact. #NZPol

These guys are dangerous idiots. It's tiresome enough already having to read, and re-check, the labels on everything that I eat, and now they want to have me scan a QR code to get to that information.

Denying redress to abuse in care survivors who've committed crimes is unconscionable. Essentially they're saying the Crown will only show remorse for their failings to people who don't show their damage on the outside.

This is arguing about what equipment to kit the ambulance with at the bottom of the cliff. Stop unnecessary urgency, stop accepting rubbish bills that don't clear the quality bar, and you won't end up with a firehose of outrage from a disrespected public. 🤷‍♀️ newsroom.co.nz/2025/10/23/t...

#nzpol Sometimes a policy is so stupid it makes you question the very fabric of reality. Decisions so fabulously, almost wantonly dumb, you wonder if we actually live in a simulation. Welcome to the world of removing Jobseeker Support for 18 & 19-year-olds. craigrenney.substack.com/p/a-small-wr...

A small wrinkle in the Jobseeker policy

The government’s recent changes to benefits feel like this: the house is on fire, and this policy is them turning off the smoke alarm and saying it’s fixed
