What’s the best way to ensure resiliency of the open web? ‘build something that people love so much that they would revolt if it ever went away’ is IMO a very coherent theory of change, thanks @dholms.at for pointing it out. #dwebcamp was magic, I’m still processing. inter communal spirit ❤️

Daniel presenting this at dwebcamp 2026. Also, there is a nice freifunk logo on the wireless router right next to him :)

So if you have a rotation key & a backup you can move even if the original PDS is entirely offline. I just tested this when the Peedee es PDS went offline. It DOES require you to make that backup & key BEFORE the PDS is gone / offline or hostile but it works & PDS MOOVer made it no-code.

Research project by @eurosky.social is about a concept that sounds like it could help us maintain peaceful coexistence ☮️ ✌️ ‘prioritize content that receives positive engagement from people who typically disagree’ www.niemanlab.org/2023/10/soci...

Social media algorithms can be redesigned to bridge divides — here’s how

"It falls to both the tech companies that built these systems and an engaged public to create technologies designed for social cohesion."

Do you like your social media less toxic? Yeah, we do too. @eurosky.social and Germany's Federal Agency for Breakthrough Innovation (SPRIND) just signed an agreement to collaborate on precisely that: eurosky.tech/news/eurosky...

At Eurosky, we believe verification should serve a simple function: provide a trust signal to users that an account is who they claim to be. It's not about follower numbers, 'public profile' or other vanity metrics.

I think the only issue we run into here is on the login screen - logging in using an Atmosphere account vs a Fediverse one are two different things (at least for now), which makes for a confusing experience. Probably something we can work through, but worth keeping in mind.

i need money to make pckt an actual company and to also get userinput.app onto the app store for those sweet sweet push notifications when brookie grant ?? repost and send this to 10 of your richest friends 💕😇

What's up with verification on mu.social? Our view is that verification is first and foremost about social proof that an account is who they claim to be. It's not about follower numbers, 'public profile' or other vanity metrics. We want social media where everyone can verify their account 👇

The problem I seem to encounter whenever I start working with the term ‘community’ in the current open communication debate: I want to be able to clearly distinguish this: more open VS more closed membership relationships? E.g.: is ‘self declaration of membership’ an accepted method here or not?
