So if you have a rotation key & a backup you can move even if the original PDS is entirely offline. I just tested this when the Peedee es PDS went offline. It DOES require you to make that backup & key BEFORE the PDS is gone / offline or hostile but it works & PDS MOOVer made it no-code.

At Eurosky, we believe verification should serve a simple function: provide a trust signal to users that an account is who they claim to be. It's not about follower numbers, 'public profile' or other vanity metrics.

I think the only issue we run into here is on the login screen - logging in using an Atmosphere account vs a Fediverse one are two different things (at least for now), which makes for a confusing experience. Probably something we can work through, but worth keeping in mind.

What's up with verification on mu.social? Our view is that verification is first and foremost about social proof that an account is who they claim to be. It's not about follower numbers, 'public profile' or other vanity metrics. We want social media where everyone can verify their account 👇

The problem I seem to encounter whenever I start working with the term ‘community’ in the current open communication debate: I want to be able to clearly distinguish this: more open VS more closed membership relationships? E.g.: is ‘self declaration of membership’ an accepted method here or not?

Tomorrow's primary election in Kentucky is a test: can Republicans defy Trump and still win? Rep. Thomas Massie has angered Trump so much this last year, the president has forced him to a primary. But if Massie pulls this off, more Republicans may follow his lead.
