A friend let me know that folks are comparing Duskbloods to City Trial. I get that, but I also feel like the dev team got inspiration from board games. The phase system combined with how you earn points feels very close to a board game that you play as a fromsoft action game.

Haven't had the chance to try out all of the characters, but I'm into The Duskbloods. Might play more tomorrow before the network test is over. Though I'm most curious to get more story, and I know we won't get that during the network test.

I've been thinking about how easy it's gotten to fall into a pattern of assuming media commntary on a thing that isn't praise is critic. I spent close to 2 decades telling people I wanted Zelda to be more like what we got with BotW, and I don't think anyone assumed that meant I hated the series.

Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma was incredible! On top of it being a fantastic movie, I feel really fortunate for the theater I was in. It felt like we all understood the assignment.

Quartley reminder that if you care about physical media you better support your local library! Where else can you get books, games, board games, puzzles, internet hotspots etc for free? *Get library card, use it *Use library programs *Share library social media *Donate to its foundation

I think it would serve so many people to think about games that only take a couple of hours to play through more like how they view seeing a movie in a theater. There will always be folks who don't want that experience but that doesn't mean the experience isn't worth something to others.

"The game should be free if it's shorter than 2 hours" No, devs deserve to earn money for their work still. If a short time means free, then the movie industry is screwed. "There's no point in releasing a game if it's under 2 hours" There's plenty of reasons, and they can still be fun to play.
