i fully get where people are coming from, saying real art "looks like AI" DOES feel dismissive, cheap and disrespectful to the humans who worked very hard on it but expecting people to criticize bad art direction without mentioning The Shitty Thing It Very Clearly Looks Like does not feel tenable.

it's pretty uncontroversial to attribute the meteoric rise in approval from Y2K onward came from queer people coming out to their families i gotta wonder if we're seeing a snapshot of those queer people subsequently going no-contact with some of those family members.
