Read a cute story (Oak The Littlest Lead Girl-it's great) to my little one yesterday about a leaf girl. Said leaf girl had her life upended by the blowing of Autumn's chill wind. It was all metaphorical change, winds blowing, seasons changing, as a concrete way to help kids navigate life changes.
Growing up in a heavily Haitian North Miami community this reminds me of too many young men I knew in high school and college. Just heartbreaking what these jackals in Washington are doing.
