The translation of たられば as ”tarareba" in the subtitles of Tokyo Tarareba Girls is making me pull my hair out. It's meaningless if you don’t already know Japanese! What is a "tararebe man"?? We will never know if we rely on the English subtitle translation!

The manga artist for the beloved kidʻs Kirby Manga, Hirokazu Hikawa, passed off his assistant's work as his own for own from volumes 10-24 in the original 24 volume run. And despite this he was brought back by Shogakukan for an anniversary 12 years later and which led to a new serialization.

What's your "He actually broke his toe here" thing? The factoid you can't help but share whenever it comes up. For me, it's how the punk on the bus in Star Trek IV actually wrote and recorded the song that he's playing because he was annoyed the original song they had didn't sound punk at all.

MangaOne has revealed that the writer of “Act Age” Tatsuya Matsuki is writing the series “Seisou no Shinrishi” under the name of Yatsunami Itsuki. Matsuki was arrested for assault on a middle school student August 2020, and subsequently received a guilty verdict (1 year and 6 months in prison.)

I saw a friend mention Oricon EN picked up the story, and their coverage should be accurate as I understand it. us.oricon-group.com/news/7887/ This is a very sensitive issue and things can get lost in translation, so take viral tweets with at least a little grain of salt.
