I have a lot of fondness for this period of the X- titles, from the Mutant Massacre to the Fall of the Mutants. In addition to the interesting changes to the X-Men membership, there are several fun tie-in limited series (Avengers, F4, Mephisto Vs.)

#EventsDearBoy 3. MUTANT MASSACRE (1986, Marvel) Apparently one of Jonathan Hickman's ideas when he revamped the X-Men was 'give them some wins'. Wherever could the idea that the X-Men are constantly losing have come from, I wonder? Perhaps this first mutant event will shed some light!

All the people who are anti-Musk or want to slow Tesla's progress, I have one question: If cybertrucks disappeared tomorrow, could you still get to work? To the store? How would you feed yourself? Would you just walk through the Taco Bell drive thru? How would you even get there?

I rewatched the 2015 animated series MOONBEAM CITY. It's a solid 7 out of 10. Great voice performances by Elizabeth Banks and Will Forte. There were a few times when it seemed like Rob Lowe didn't understand the joke he was making. Anyway, it's way better than STRIP LAW.

The Ken Jennings kerfuffle, IMO, is a symptom of a wider problem- no one will fucking admit to being/doing something wrong anymore. All he needed to say was "omg, I didn't realize paying the NYT contributes to harm to the trans community. I'm sorry, I'll unsubscribe. Know any Wordle alternatives?"

Republican power grabs in Kansas and Missouri are going down in flames with 18-25% of votes reported so far. Missouri's Amendment 4 aimed to make citizen-initiated constitutional amendments practically impossible. Kansas' Amendment 1 was designed to flip the state Supreme Court to ban abortion

Miller is a piece of shit. But be cautious about calling family photos of nude toddlers "CSAM." I've written about lives ruined over allegations that turned out to be harmless photos of kids taking a bath or running naked through the house. Moreno is already calling for prosecutions, here.

Max Miller’s lawyer admits to accidentally releasing ‘private images’ of daughter

Lawyers for ex-wife Emily Moreno said possible “Child Sexual Abuse Material” was included in a trove of documents the Ohio lawmaker publicly posted.

All by design. They want there to be no opportunities, they want people to be desperate, they want them to commit crimes, so they can turn around and say "SEE?! SEE?! Criminals!" and put them in for profit prisons for slave labor. They hate people like Mamdani who does the opposite and creates

Fantastic reporting here by Libby Rainey that confirms what we've been hearing about the "clean zones" around LA28 venues: "Carter Hewgley, chief strategy officer for L.A. County’s Department of Homeless Services and Housing, said his office had been told to plan for perimeters as wide as a mile"

The LA Olympics is expected to displace unhoused people living around venues. So what's the plan?

L.A. officials say people living on the streets will likely have to leave certain areas come 2028. They don't know how they'll be moved or who will pay for it.

when it's late and you're sad sometimes you just gotta get in the bathtub and stare at the tile and think "man i should really clean this tile, what am i even doing with my life? why am i like this?" and then you sink your head halfway under the water and blow bubbles because you are an adult.
