Interspecies H2 transfer between anaerobic ciliates and H2-consuming bacteria and archaea is fairly common. But here the bacterial partner conveys a new ability to its ciliate host: sensing and orienting along Earth's geomagnetic field. Grateful to have been a part of this! #protistsonsky
