Speaking as just one guy who sues the government a lot: This basically does not happen. It is a transparent effort to shut down further inquiry by conceding relief. What they are seeking to cover up must be unspeakably bad.

Important to recognize she's not an idiot, she knows the data centers being built are AI-specific and that the extreme power and cooling demands arise specifically from GPUs, not data storage or transmission. She's repeating lies that lobbyists told her to say to confuse the public.

If I were the opposition party I'd be saying anyone involved in creating this corrupt scheme will be prosecuted but also anyone accepting payments from it will at minimum be required to pay back the full sum with interest
