DOJ independence is crucial. Garland began investigating Trump the month he got there. Others began in January 2021 before he got there. I would like a more vocal Attorney General, however. Jack Smith would be my pick.

I agree that in 2027 and 2028, Congressional investigations, funding the government, and consideration of Trump nominees can NOT be business as usual. No "reaching across the aisle", funding Trump BS, or voting for ANY Trump nominee - judicial or otherwise. Those days are definitely over. 1/

Yesterday Vladdy Putin reiterated Russia’s support for Iran. Putin is in a perfect position to blackmail Trump using the threat of selling Iran nuclear warheads. He will do this as a deterrent to Trump to sell weapons to NATO which would go to Ukraine. We are looking in the wrong direction.
