I finally read Shirley Jackson's The Lottery. I knew it was a short story, but I didn't know it was could've-been-an-email short.

In the 1970s, the official tagline for M&Ms was "M&Ms melt in your mouth, not in your hands," and we all knew that was a flat out provable lie, total bullshit... and yet we let them just keep saying it.

Comic Artist Pro Tip #56- If you've begun work on a script that the writer hasn't completed, try to draw your character(s) with some sort of bag or backpack, because you'll inevitably get a panel description from the writer that says "he pulls out some rope"( or a sandwich, a lock picking kit, etc).

I can only imagine what a song like Sweet Talkin' Woman by ELO must sound like to a 20-year-old today. Like, does it just sound old and indistinguishable from other "old" music? Would they presume that it and Dinah Shore's Buttons and Bows came out about the same time?
