Sporadically speaking Spanish around/to my husband then having to stop and tell him “do NOT say that to strangers” bc I was not raised right (The rule of thumb is: if he heard me say it, he cannot repeat any part that sounds like pinche, chinga(da), or verga, also say “manches” instead of “mames”)
Frankly I think almost every writer I know and beta read for and cheer on deserves a deep dive like this one David gave my work. What an absolute fucking beautiful gift.
