"these puzzles that require me to work as a team with my friends really gets in the way of what is otherwise an amazing game of exploration!" how some gamers sound when critiquing a very thematic game

Hooded Horse is becoming one of, if not THE best indie publishers around right now. Just banger after banger. Not all the games are even "my thing," but I can definitely see how much love and good design work is going into each game they release.
one neat thing about AI is that it's getting companies to trust automated tooling to patch their shit without threatening to sue said tooling maker if it doesn't work
who up participating in the neoliberal order staving off its collapse rn?
basically the Dem establishment truly is embodying VBNMW I'm wondering what we'll hear from pundits and centerest groups that get regular articles and platforming in the coming months
@matthewdownhour.bsky.social Kamala Harris has already sent out a fundraising email for El-Sayed, by the way. This morning.
looks like having an aversion to these assistant apps in the first place is working out well for me
It’ll be Gemini or nothing on Android from September 4th. www.theverge.com/tech/975516/...
a common frustration with this era is that, no, those things could absolutely be true and you not go to prison with the right lawyers and connections
Rep. Max Miller on Newsmax: "If any of these things were true, I would be in prison"
it has yet to be seen whether centrist Dems and their handlers/pundits will stick to "vote blue no matter who" we have 3ish months to test that
we are in the extraction friendslop era of video games
you want data centers in space so nobody from the FBI or Europol can come knocking on your door about certain images or financial docks, and subsequently confiscating hard drives containing evidence of your organized crime operation
it's a lie meant to obfuscate the real reasons you'd have data centers in space: to skirt data residency laws basically creating legal grey zones for questionable data and prevent seizure/inspection by state entities that certain groups hate
A Texas cheer squad had been doing this 9/11 reenactment routine since 2002(!), before it gained national attention in 2015. That institutional continuity is interesting because it means it's not something the squad members just happened to come up with -- it's the fully adult coaches.
Oh my god I think I found the video.
I'm going to keep reposting this until morale improves
the most "supply creates demand" person you've ever come across: "it's actually useless to regulate and crack down on businesses for externalities because they're just serving the public's demands for dirty, cheap consumption!"

i imagine part of AOC’s strategy here in courting MAHA is to torpedo a potential RFK ‘28 bid before it even begins
i trust her instincts here — they’re a not-insignificant voting block and many of them are fairly ideologically unaffiliated outside of their weird quackery bugbears. most have no particular attachment to RFK, little to none to even aversion to trump himself; easy to chip off the enemy’s coalition
cannot stress enough how many people I know in the 20-45 range who deal with some chronic health problem (pain, digestion, breathing, migraines) where the only remedies offered are OTC meds or PT some get lucky and get access to surgery or prescription meds, but have to fight hard for it
most are just marginally connected to a healthcare system that practically only gives a damn about two groups: the elderly and newborns/unborn gotta understand that most people don't have access to a second opinion or a doctor that will actually try to *solve* their niche health issue
it's just kinda wild that nobody in tech journalism is looking at space data centers and asking, "ok, but why are you lying about basic physics?"
apparently I should have more kubernetes experience
oh nice bsky is doing involuntary a/b testing, a common developer abuse of its userbase cool cool cool
"there are viral AI xenophobic videos in China!" ya there are also viral racist videos going viral in the US almost as if AI-generated content is a weapon that's used by anti-liberal groups to spread their propaganda in ways they could not easily do before it
I know how to do math and even I struggle to get a job doing math who wants to pay me to do some math?
how the fuck did I get a job doing math man I don't fucking know how to do math
RIP Katsushi Murakami (1942-2026). A legendary designer for many tokusatsu & anime series (Gavan, Bioman, Giraya Ninja, Ulysse 31, Space Adventure Cobra, Gatchaman...), and toys. x.com/Alien_anvil/...
I will never like one of those "1 like = ..." posts because I don't want to create a burdensome relationship with someone via likes

if there is a 35 year old human dating a (Tolkien) elf who is also 35, what kind of dating taboo is that violating?
