The fact that so many people gleefully reposted a review that begins with “a gross and arguably racist insinuation” says a lot about modern academia. I hope you’re all proud of yourselves

I also disagree with Steinmetz-Jenkins, Moyn, Bessner, et al on the "fascism" question, but that is just a terrible review. Petty, tendentious, with a gross and arguably racist insinuation in the first graf (which the author Trumpily passes off with an "it has been suggested").
