Sad to hear of the death of actor George Wendt, age 76. For many of us, he will be Norm Peterson. One of only three members of the cast of Cheers to have appeared in all 275 episodes. George was in many other shows and appeared in the Spice World movie! George Wendt 1948-2025

Round the Horne classic UK radio show fan. Quite partial to a double entendre, smut and not taking life to seriously 🐾

Can we just have a moment, at this special time of year … to remember the McFly Creme Egg campaign 🙏🏻
Remembering the comedy icon that is Victoria Wood , who left us too soon back in 2016. A huge inspiration on me growing up ❤️ martynwithaydesigns.etsy.com
RIP Victoria Wood, who died #OTD 2016.
Made in Bury: Victoria Wood (1953-2016) was one of the greatest comic talents the north has produced, which is saying a lot. She was widely admired as a stand-up comedian, singer and songwriter, TV dramatist and actor. 1/10
Happy Easter, EVERYONE!! 👇 Seemed. Appropriate. Today. 😎✨
RIP Colin Berry at the age of 79. Our jury spokesperson at over 25 Eurovision Song Contests as well as a standby commentator if the audio link between the UK and the venue was lost. Previous to this, he was a continuity announcer on HTV in 1971. Colin Berry 1946-2025
Labour mocked Plaid Cymru when we said they should think about nationalising the steelworks in Port Talbot - but it's now good enough for Scunthorpe. Why weren't Welsh jobs worth fighting for? Only Plaid Cymru stands up for Wales. ✊🏴
RIP Jean Marsh, a very talented actor who will be sadly missed 💔
RIP Jean Marsh. Co-writer and performer of the LWT series Upstairs Downstairs. She was also the co-creator of BBC period drama The House of Eliott. Her last TV appearance was as Queen Bavmorda in Willow on Disney+ in 2022. Jean Marsh 1934-2025 tvark.org/upstairs-dow...

The hours of pleasure Round the Horne gave us was harmless comedy gold. Nothing has lived up to this radio classic since, mariners would get within transmission range of UK shores to tune in 📻. www.youtube.com/watch?v=am2E...

"Brexit has helped cause a huge drop in young overseas visitors to UK galleries. World-famous institutions like the Tate, the Royal Academy and the National Gallery have seen visitor numbers fall by 20-50% compared to 2019. Rivals in Paris, Amsterdam and Florence have thrived over the same period."
