I was tempted to pirate HP, curiosity and all that. But @jessiegender.bsky.social is right - think of the amount of times HBO commented on GOT leaks and downloads, just as an example. They DO track these things, and even that drives interest. Let this show die. Trans people deserve better.

The original Google search algorithm that was wizard magic was machine learning. Same with videogame enemies learning flocking techniques and figuring out how to beat you based on your tendencies. LLM stans fucked this up just let the scam artists define what AI is now because they are dumb.

I can’t emphasize this enough — “AI” wasn’t born corrupt and toxic. For ~75 years, it was mathematicians and scientists doing interesting, thoughtful work and trying to solve problems, making only the usual human mistakes. What “AI” did to machine learning is as tragic as what it did to artists.

I know I spilled the beans months before they wanted it public, but man... fuck this. Private equity is killing the boutique labels that saved this industry and that ISN'T a coincidence. It's a targeted killing.

Pokemon Tectonic is a pretty ambitious fan game but having the computer switch out of EVERY type matchup they're not good in makes it extremely frustrating. A single battle takes so long because you can't get anything off from the computer constantly switching.

i never watch podcasts for the same reason, BUT as a podcast host/producer, the episodes that don't have video have a way smaller reach 😭 i'll always respect a guest who doesn't want to be on video but it's wild how many more views a video ep will get.
