I ended up experimenting a lot with this one, pouring layers of ink washes over the watercolor and building up with pastels. I'm trying to get a look that is soft and textured but still has clear strong details in places. I haven't gotten it down yet quite the way I want, but this is a step closer!

The images are of Wrathion and Anduin from World of Warcraft. It's a commission done by @grey0295 (Grey!) for @ClaretAsh.

The art is an ornamental piece, stylised elegantly, with a main colour palette of yellow, grey and white.

The center focus of the piece is Anduin and Wrathion in black and gold outfits, standing together. Anduin holds a stylised pure white dish, as Wrathion casts a hand across it, a halo emanating from it. Around the outer edge is Anduin with a sun motif behind him, holding a vase. Water flows from it, linking it to it's opposite - Wrathion. Behind him is a moon motif, and the flow of his outfit links him back to Anduin's side. The image is perfectly balanced.
