There was a direct test of “stop the crazy shit” as a Democratic platform. It won an election: and then lost catastrophically, leading to a tremendous escalation in the crazy shit. We literally tried it at the suggestion of people like this and it failed.

People seem to be upset that El-Sayed happily accepted Harris’ endorsement. I feel as though we weren’t both looking at the same candidate. At no point did El-Sayed come off as some radical, he’s just is holding the baseline Democratic voter opinion that politicians shouldn’t take AIPAC money.

when it became mainstream for ppl to be openly gay, straight ppl immediately developed a neurosis around their own sexualities resulting from paranoid self-interrogation. you can glance at modern right-wing influencer spaces to see how nuts they have gotten about it (soup is gay)

Whenever you criticize China’s presence in Africa, people come out of the woodwork to say “Oh, so we should let Europe come back in?” No… but thanks for pointing out some parallels. I’m saying maybe African states should not be indebted to other countries or the IMF.
