Finally had time to play @denkiworks.bsky.social Tanuki: Pon's Summer. My highlights are: - Fun movement with depth - Map markers vice arrows = joy of finding your own route - Contextual music - Some words and phrases still in Japanese - Representing yakitori with the best kind (葱間) (1/3)

@denkiworks.bsky.social Finished the demo and absolutely loved it! The world is bursting with charm, from the delightful NPCs to the BMX riding, it perfectly captures that carefree summer vacation feeling. Cozy, colorful, and incredibly wholesome. Can't wait to play the full game! 🦝
Pon doesn't speak in TANUKI, so I got to draw a lot of emojis for his expressions, other characters and objects. I had a lot of fun with these... tbh it was hard to pitch the game to people without mentioning them sometimes. its been especially rewarding having the dev team use them in comms
