I have a major piece up today at The Key. It's about Israel, parsing the rape baked into Zionism's core grammar. I speak of trained dogs; Screams Without Words; Sde Teiman; the Tomer-Yerushalmi affair; and the Palestinian Feminist Collective on sexual violence's centrality to reproductive genocide.
So here's an interesting thing I'm seeing in these conversations about "Canadian wildfire smoke." Some Yanks are saying the wildfires are because Canada outlawed Indigenous traditional burning practices. This way, Canada remains the bad guy for oppressing Indigenous Peoples - which is true. 1/5
