Also, not many people know this, but in Canada there’s a program through the Canada Council for the Arts that compensates authors for their books that are found in libraries. It’s limited and you must apply, but it’s glorious. See: Public Lending Right Program.

I believe us white guys need to start thinking long and hard about who we choose to mourn publicly, and why--what we choose to remember publicly, and what we choose to ignore, and why. We are very quick to highlight our fond memories of fellow white men, and quicker to ignore everything else.

Completely understandable, @loresuto.bsky.social! This series had launched and cancelled before I had ever started collecting comics. And I feel that Marvel's War of the Worlds/Killraven is kind of a cult classic, by being artistically and literarily groundbreaking.
