I was interviewed by Colorado Public Radio about how the the current FCC Commissioner is working to eliminate diversity in media ownership, local reporting, and viewpoint by ignoring Congressional oversight.
FCC expected to get rid of ownership caps for local TV
The FCC chair pushing the move says it will help local news, but others disagree. Vote will determine the future of television news across the country.

The booing of what sounds like a foreign (and no doubt in the man's mind, 'Islamic') name, really speaks volumes about the mindset of some Trump supporters. Even when Trump is gone, this white Christian nationalist section of US society will still remain.
LOMBARDO: So I know the pastor spoke about Officer Abdelnabi-- TRUMP RALLY CROWD: *Boooooo* LOMBARDO: No. We're not booing him. He's the officer that passed away here recently
Tuberville: "If we don't straighten out this country's voting and immigration system, we're not gonna make it. It's gonna be over. I'm gonna go back to Alabama and hey, we might build a 30-foot wall around our state."
I feel personally attacked by not knowing of any of the parties involved in the tittymilk heroin lady saga, yet seeing a stream of posts alluding to the drama. Cite your sources!

I’m glad the President has his priorities straight.
Every single person in this administration is an utter embarassment

This is funniest thing you'll see today. Also, Schiff is very good at this.
holy shit -- Schiff ties Trump's judicial nominees in knots by asking them who won the 2016 before *before* asking them who won in 2020, which results in them sounding like election deniers about Trump's victories!
I kind of love the idea of defanging Citizens United by making campaign spending a sign of weakness rather than a sign of power.
I'm starting to see a trend. Money gets counted against the candidate, as long as voters know about it. We can be outspent by a lot and still win! #BlueWaveIn90Days
Q: Any comment on Rep. Max Miller? TRUMP: I hope he's able to work it out. I feel badly for him.
I’m telling you this as a political scientist. The person who is electable is the one who is elected. This can and does change over time. Any and all speculation about “electability” is either puffery or anxiety and is often both.
One way to be safe is to never write an electability take
Has AI as we know and use it now even been around 5 years? I would look at you absolutely crazy if you said you couldn’t live without it. You’re 45. How did you make it to this big age then?
I've lived in rural (and urban-ish) North Louisiana going on 15 years. Mostly deep red, pockets of light blue. I've not seen people organize around any issue like the data centers. They won't beat Amazon's and Meta's money in the short term, but they're ripe for mobilization.
I’ve been screening our documentary with organizing communities in the South. So far, the organizers mention data centers first at every single event. From racial justice orgs to old school activists who don’t usually think about tech policy. This has legs.
Conservatives scaremonger to their base about the sexual threat posed by outsiders (migrants, liberals, queer folk) solely because the hypothetical victims here "belong to" conservative men. But they reserve the right for those same men to treat their own property however they wish.
It's vital to understand that the conservative obsession with calling their political adversaries groomers, rapists and pedophiles while simultaneously protecting sexual offenders in their own party isn't a contradiction, but the result of an ideology that views rape as a crime of property damage.
Pure scum wrapped in fake piety.
