Just here because I like learning things and I hate fascism.

I think these people organically find the easiest, sleaziest positions in the world. That used to be being a politician, but now it's being a media personality. So being in politics has become a stepping stone to the media, like Trey Gowdy, Mike Huckabee, etc.

This is a factual sentence: Amid an outbreak of explosive diarrhea and with measles cases at a 35-year high, America’s top health official, who has an affinity for roadkill and guzzling raw milk, will soon start hosting a cooking show. My column, tragically: www.usatoday.com/story/opinio...

All the Fauci stuff is a modern day version of the POW/MIA stuff after Vietnam - a way to try to rewrite the history of a huge failure of conservative ideology to be instead a story about how liberals and foreigners stabbed us in the back.

Aside from its many other problems, the idea Fauci was America's power-abusing covid dictator is somewhat complicated by the fact that he never had the power to do the things they're mad about. His recommendations bound nobody and were not particularly rigorously followed by the actual policymakers.

Zohran Mamdani on ICE: “I believe it's a cruel agency. I believe it's inhumane. I believe it does nothing to serve in the interest of public safety. “I believe it should be abolished.”

I worked at Disney a while ago. Do you know why theme parks are so safe? Because OOSHA reps can walk the track on any ride at any time and any safety violation they see is a $10,000 fine. Each. Theme parks are not safe because the company cares. They're safe because it's cheaper to comply.

Turns out that food companies were only checking their food because the government told them to, which is exactly why we need government regulations.
