Doing my best to cope in a world gone totally mad! Protecting the environment matters to me. I love reading, gardening, birds, orcas & TO Blue Jays. I loathe pp, djt & his regime, & muskrat. No DMs, thx.

Instead of spending at least $50 billion of public money on fueling more climate chaos, Canadians deserve a government that invests in building the green economy of tomorrow – creating good jobs, lowering costs, and protecting our future.

And for Canadians across this land, it is a kick in the teeth to call this climate bomb of a project “in the national interest”. It is in Big Oil’s interest for sure.

What is our government doing? This project defies common sense - this is corporate welfare on a surreal scale, giving a gift to an industry making $90 billion in excess profits this year, and which still refuses to pay for its own infrastructure.

RFKJr claims Lyme disease was created by scientists, which is the closest he’s come to admitting that science exists. Meanwhile, Ötzi the Iceman, who died more than 5.3K years ago, had Lyme disease. Apparently prehistoric humans are part of the conspiracy. Get me off this timeline

FIFA President Gianni Infantino is seeking the Trump administration's help to stay in office and has scheduled private talks with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the NYP reports. Assistant Secretary of State Dylan Johnson later said Rubio had no plans to speak with Infantino.

I joined WestJet workers on the line because they deserve to be paid for the work they do and the critical safety they provide passengers every day. The federal gov’t must not interfere with workers’ right to collectively bargain. Workers deserve a fair deal at the table, not political meddling.

I'm not sure folks have realized just how crazy the second half of 2026 and 2027 will be for global temperatures – on the back of a record-smashing El Niño event. Here is my latest estimate of where both years will end up compared to global temperatures since 1850.
