A person acknowledging that bots just work harder than me.
I don’t know if this will help any of my other neurodivergent peeps, but you know what I’m doing a lot of now? Logic puzzles. The little grids with “Bob has brown hair and killed either the dragon or the kraken, but not on Tuesday” clues. Having to focus so intently shuts up the anxiety for a bit.
Ex-farm worker here. We need to talk about this whole "But a living wage for farm workers would spike the cost of food!" thing. Not true AT ALL. Y'all don't understand how fast experienced farm workers are. The average tomato picker pulls 650lbs per hour. At $20/hr, that's $0.03/lb for labor.
Just a reminder, it's only peaceful for as long as the police allow it to be. It is always the police who decide if a protest is going to be violent.
HAPPENING NOW: Aerial coverage of protesters marching peacefully in LA to protest ongoing ICE raid operations and Trump’s federalization of the National Guard Reporter: “What we’re looking at right now is a quiet, organized group and demonstrators marching peacefully to their destination.”
As always, if you want to make one donation that helps multiple people on the ground in Gaza, I recommend the Sameer Project, a mutual aid groups that's doing incredible work despite the horrific conditions: linktr.ee/thesameerpro...

We succeed in trauma recovery to the extent we become the adult we could & realistically would have turned to for understanding & help once upon a time. That's the target I keep in mind.
People who care about your mental health care about your autonomy-- that your decisions are actual decisions. Sustainable trauma or addiction recovery is not built on coercion or shame-- ever. Ever. Ever.
Each time you ask an AI chatbot a question, it sends a request to a data center and strains an increasingly scarce resource: water. A 🧵on our investigation into how the data centers that power AI are increasingly being built in highly water-stressed places: www.bloomberg.com/graphics/202...
The AI Boom Is Draining Water From the Areas That Need It Most
A Bloomberg News analysis finds that roughly two thirds of new data centers built or in development in the US since 2022 are in places with high levels of water stress.

Rodney Hinton Jr. and Luigi Nicholas Mangione. FREE THEM BOTH! 😤
I haven't seen the same outpouring of support for Rodney Hinton, Jr. that we saw for Luigi Mangione. GoFundMe took down the fundraiser for Hinton, who is accused of killing an officer shortly after he watched bodycam footage of police killing his 18-year-old son.
Easy does it. Slow, smooth inhale; hold it for a sec; easy, smooth exhale, like through a straw. Hook into that vagus nerve and center yourself. Ready steady. Wherever you are, whatever situation you’re faced w/ when you read this: you’ve got this. Remember. Remember.
Hey @bsky.app @safety.bsky.app @support.bsky.team can you please stop suspending accounts from Gaza those are people and they are starving and they’re here begging for food
Did you know Canada is arming Israel? Israel has killed over 50,000 Palestinians in the last 18 months. It’s genocide. Sign the petition to stop funding Israel: saygenocide.ca

Worth noting that a number of universities have now sued over withheld and canceled grants, but no university has yet sued over the arrest, detention, and threatened deportation of its foreign students. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/19/o...
