Maybe I’m mistaken but aren’t charts a secondary output of the process of tabulating radio & streaming numbers for the sake of distributing pooled resources to human performers (like ASCAP)? If so then it makes sense not to do that if the AI-generated song was never performed

Australia’s primary music chart will ban AI generated music from its charts after it turned out the most played song on the radio in July was AI generated. This is a lost battle. If the most popular song on the radio isn’t on your music charts, is your chart even relevant?
