Every now and then I remember that Carpenter interview about why he stopped going to the masters of horror dinners and he derisively says "Eli Roth and his Hollywood haircut" and...if I were Roth, I would've straight up committed seppuku after that.

watching the extras on that criterion NOTLD and there's an interview with Romero and Don Coscarelli with Tom Snyder on there and oh nothing, just listening to these two men speak very thoughtfully about horror and why people respond to it then I go check the internet and see news about Eli Roth.
So... how long until this becomes a reality?

However, as far as awful life destroying things that never should've happened go, the Satanic Panic was pretty awesome. Sure beats the Hell out of whatever all it is we've got going on now.
Considering how much CONAN owes to Leone and Milius said the Conan practices his sword work on the beach scene is a reference to ONE EYED JACKS, you should also watch ild westerns if you want to make a movie like Conan.
