I for one won’t be watching and hope that JK is in for a rude awakening. It’s also pretty crazy to be this overly confident about rehashing your already adapted books with lesser known actors.

As someone who played in one of Alex's NOVA games (specifically the one where we ended up in an abandoned mining shaft) this really sums up why it was so fun for me, the Moves system just flows so well!

i think i've found a way to talk to people about things that excite me about RPGs without exhausting said people: writing about them! after the inevitable DIE review, here's the first in a new format i have in mind for these thoughts: NOVA, from @gilarpgs.bsky.social and The Really Good Bit

this caused me to set up an entirely new site, explore my own relationship with games as play pretend (going back to 2001-2002), and then eventually succumb to the inevitable DIE RPG review (i might have two more in me, if september is kind enough)

I don't feel the need to note it often, but One Shot predates Critical Role by almost two years and The Adventure Zone by just one. I say this merely to emphasize the show about touring hundreds of indie games was popular and successful before the most prominent D&D shows even began.

The way fascism operates is via the salami method. They intentionally target the most vulnerable and least defended populace to slice them off the rest until they can proceed further. You can not defeat faccism unless you challenge it head-on. Amnesty would let fascism win as much as everyone else.
