To Life: A Cartoonist’s Journal in the Aftermath of October 7th is a mix of memoir and journalism
Half journal and half journalism, To Life is an honest, thought-provoking, and intimate look at the future of Jewish people around the world.

It's just a few days until a new (Lunar, Jewish) year and I keep reviewing this past one and so many wonderful moments and special people and customers stand out but for real? I'm so so tired, y'all.
Chinook salmon have recolonised 88% of their historic range on the Klamath River, with more than 13,000 fish passing the old Iron Gate Dam site in 2025, up from 7,700 the year before. Two years after the dams’ removal, it’s going better than anyone predicted. buff.ly/pToC9gB #ShareGoodNewsToo

Why say goodbye? Death is only a temporary glitch in this eerily plausible future from award-winning graphic novelist Brian “Box” Brown. Brenda’s mom is dying—but not for long....

If you mean your new book, I already did! Heavily in stock!
Very fond of ARCHER'S GOON, myself. Diana Wynne Jones was so delightfully weird.
Dogsbody is still an all time fave of mine!
Two wildly different adaptations that are both good in different ways is not the usual thing! The fate of the Witch Of The Waste in the film is very much an expression of Myazaki's philosophy.
The book and the movie are two separate beasts, but as Carla says, each is good in their own way. For example, in the book, the black spot on the wheel just leads to Wales.
“There is no reason to use that kind of language” I’ve actually seen people who we would regard as good people say far worse than that in real life
Young in this case would be anyone born after... Reagan was sworn in?

Happy 72nd Birthday to Ruby Bridges, who at the age of 6 desegregated the New Orleans public schools. She’s younger than 30 senators and our last two presidents—and only 7 years older than Barack Obama. The past isn’t past.
lets help Katelyn out, yall ♥️
Hello, I was hoping to avoid doing this, but I am asking for help paying for my hernia surgery. I need about $6800 to cover it and I simply do not have the money to cover it. If you're able, I would appreciate your help. <3 gofund.me/db73f7f90
DOOMQUEST #4 comes out tomorrow! Doom's been on the Titanic (he saved the ship), and he's been George Washington (he took over Britain). But now he's somewhere new... the body of his past self, before he ended things with the love of his life. Can Doctor Doom... SMOOCH? You'll find out TOMORROW!!
If I say "the Swiffer scene from Don Jon" and you don't know what I'm talking about... We can still be friends but like maybe, not as close.

If a marginalized person tells you that something you did or said was harmful to them and/or to their community, that doesn’t mean you’ve been harmed by being called out. You might be embarrassed or upset, but you can fix that by working on yourself and your behavior so you can stop doing that. ✌️
I really don't care about this video, the labels are much more for in-store but I DO love the theme song our friend Matt and his buddies made for us. Give it a listen!
The dudes at Jinglehaus really slayed with our theme song. Been using bits of it since January, but this is the first video to use the whole thing. I adore it.
One of my fave micro-genres of horror is "unspeakable thing trying really hard to pass for something normal, and getting it like 87% right." Stephen King's "From a Buick 8." The backrooms. Ancient fables where the devil/witches look human except for one hoof. Mimicry is predator stuff. OMINOUS.
nothin' to see here, just a couple of not deer
I’ve worked on multiple long-term projects with Carla Speed McNeil and Erica Henderson. Do I consider them friends? Heck yes! Do any of us know what the other is doing 99% of the time? Absolutely not! And though we live in the same region I’ve met them in real life only a handful of times.
Boycotting is not banning! Banning a book is something an institution does. Boycotting a book is something individuals do! No author deserves to have you buy their book.
I am quite famously against book banning. But if a hate group somehow got the rights to my books and sold them as a fundraiser, I would urge you not to buy my books. That is not book banning, that is refusing to finance harm to others.
I had a friend who was creeping on colleagues. Another who was using the promise of work to hook up with girls. Another was calling me a "token hire" to people in comics. Never saw any of it coming. "You don't have to agree, but please respect it" is a good path when your friend gets into some shit.
Comics Dudes Challenge: Learn that other men’s capacity for shitty behavior is not limited by the bounds of what you, personally can imagine them doing based on your personal friendship. (Obvs this is not limited to men on either side; but it’s definitely where I see it most)
it's pronounced "lessthanthree" and you have to say it really quickly like it's one word, WHICH IT IS. www.qwantz.com/index.php?co...

Nice to have a citation for the stuff we all sort of assume to be true but question if it's just our own biases making it look that way
