The richest man owns X. The second richest man owns The Washington Post. The third and fifth richest men control Google. The sixth richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. And the eighth richest man now owns both Paramount and Warner Bros. See the problem here?

To every Australian banging on this morning on talkback radio about wanting ZERO migration, I concede. You can have it. As long as you are ok with the high chance of ZERO emergency medical care when you’re sick. ZERO aged care when you’re old. ZERO fresh food when you’re hungry.
I was tempted to pirate HP, curiosity and all that. But @jessiegender.bsky.social is right - think of the amount of times HBO commented on GOT leaks and downloads, just as an example. They DO track these things, and even that drives interest. Let this show die. Trans people deserve better.

House prices falling by a percentage not seen in 40 years does not mean house prices have fallen to affordable levels - it is just that we have seen them increase so much year on year, that falls seem significant BUT IT DOESN'T MAKE HOUSING AFFORDABLE IT JUST MEANS THE HOUSING MARKET HAS BEEN BROKEN

NOTHING BUT WORLDIES AGAINST BRAZIL! What a goal from Metcalfe! #AUSvBRA
I think Brazil might want to stamp their authority early... #AUSvBRA

History will be made next week. Either a team that finished outside the top 4 or a team that conceded 50+ will win the #nrl grand final for the first time #NRLPanthersKnights
It was a nasty tackle by Crossland, definitely, & a very nasty compound break for Cleary. But every other hip drop all year has been a bin all year at most. If it wasn't Cleary I'm not sure it would've been a send off. Send offs should be for deliberate foul play, not accidents #NRLPanthersKnights
Airliners typically have HEPA filters, yes. But the virus laden aerosolized saliva particles that person is exhaling or coughing 18 inches from your head are gonna go into *your* nose & lungs LONG BEFORE they ever hit that filter in the belly of the aircraft. N95 masks in the airplane AND terminal.
If you watch the new Netflix Wonka reality show built with an AI Gene Wilder as narrator/host, know that I am judging you as a person of poor character and we cannot be friends.
The British right has now descended to the point where 'the England team are not English' is becoming the consensus position

Every now and then I see myself referred to as an "AI Denier" and I want to be clear I acknowledge "AI" exists, it's just I think it's a massive energy drain, created from theft, implemented poorly for inappropriate tasks by loathsome tech executives who get hard at the idea of the rest of us dying
